By plane:
Catania Fontanarossa airport (CTA) is located 55 km or approximately 60 minutes drive. City bus number 457 operates from the airport to Catania city centre. Depart is every 20 minutes. There are also busses that are going directly to Suyracusa. Bus tickets can be purchase in front of the terminal; they must be validated when boarding. A taxi ride to Alla Giudecca Hotel will cost approximately 100 Euros.
By car:
From Catania airport, take Statal Street (SS 114-Orientale Sicaula) toward Syracuse. Go past the exit for Syracuse Nord and take the next exit. When you arrive the city, follow the signs for Ortigia and cross over the bridge. Then, continue along to Via Alagona to the Alla Giudecca Hotel.
By train:
A cheap railway network links Sicily's largest towns such as Palermo, Messina, Catania, Taormina and Syracuse.
By bus:
There are bus services between the towns and most small villages.
For guests whishing to visit the less touristy areas, it is recommended to use a car.
